maldon  > Other > Brisbane House
This is our house.
Inside the foyer, stairs go down and up. The house is all poured concrete. Exterior is rockcote.
There's a two-street frontage, fruit trees, wine cellar, 20,000 litre water storage, fruit trees, lots of things. All air-conditioned. It's near the top of Teneriffe Hill so there are extensive river views and outto Moreton Bay. The house is very, very private, which is unusual since it's less than ten minutes to the heart of the city.
We don't live in Australia any more.

maldon > This is the front entrance to the house. Foyer inside is more than two storeys high. Private den/office is on this floor to the left and three car garages to the right. Photos in this web site don't show the theatre, guest bedrooms, the downstairs office/study/studio, nor the gardens all around the house. There's only limited photograph of the main bedroom, too. Sorry about that, but it's an amateur production, created for family and friends overseas. Only the captions have been changed, to interest prospective new owners. There are four bedrooms, four bathrooms (and pool toilet/shower outside), three car garage.
maldon > Inside the foyer, showing the old front door. Stairs lead upstairs to the top floor, which is entirely parents, and down to the third floor. The Iron handrail is hand made by a master blacksmith and weighs three tonnes.
maldon > Foyer is behind the photographer. Bar is out of the picture at left. Raised dining area at right. Decor is tropical resort, with specially made louvre doors everywhere. Palm trees just visible are twenty metres high and very spectacular.
maldon > Owner's hand made English Oak dining table. Foyer is off to the left, kitchen behind photographer.
maldon > Kitchen. Photograph taken from walk through from dining lounge area. Filtered water feeds the fridge icemaker.
maldon > View from kitchen towards Moreton Bay. This is the family living area. Mats and specially made cane furniture echo the tropical resort theme. Dining room is behind the wall at left. Note that there are no visible neighbours. Surprising for an inner-cityh property.
maldon > The main patio deck. The palm trees at left grow up from the pool area, 15 metres below. Family living area is off to the right. Loung room opens to a deck behind the photographer. Canvas awning, just visible at top of picture, right, opens and closes electrically. Speaker under patio at rear is part of a stereo set. Music can be piped throughout the house from the computer. Easy entertaining for 50 people or more. Note that there are no neighbours. Fruit trees at the end make it easy to pick a lime or lemon. There are about a dozen in pots like this overall.
maldon > Back inside the foyer, this is the view down to the front door from the parents floor.
maldon > This is part of the gymnasium on the parents floor. A nautilus weight system is behing the photographer. Like the rest of the house, the room is airconditioned. At the far end of the room there are a couple of easels for painting. The tv set is connected to Fox, so the "athlete" has a choice - watch the morning news programs or something pre-recorded. Or listen to something from the computer music bank. Doorway to the right leads to a balcony above the foyer. To the right is a spare bedroom and toilet.
